I would like to try some dominican poducts on my hair but I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff not to have anything work for me. I couldn't afford it anyway. Here's my hairs condition. It's a little past shoulder length, basically dry and breaks but not in small pieces usually long strands. I'm figuring it's breakage and not shedding because there's no bulb on the ends of the strands, occasionally I'll see one or two. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't have a problem with split ends though.

So from you guys experience, which products would be good for me to try first?? I'm intrigued about the Praitial silk worm and silicon mix but I would really like some opinions on what you guys think could work for my hair first. I'm still looking for staples. Thanx in advance

I started using Dominican conditioners a couple of months ago. I have not tried any poos yet. I do plan on adding a poo and rinse to regimen the end of this month. Here what I use and love them all.

Tratamiento Acceite de Oliva (use as a prepoo on Friday nights overnight) this really softens my ng).
Super 10 en 1 and Silicon Mix ( I mix together or use separately as my deep cond for my Wed wash).
Aceite de Oliva and Lacio Lacio leave ins (Lacio Lacio is my fav and really detangles ng).

I would also suggest going on roundbrush .com and order a starter package if you want to try several products. I will definitely keep these products in my rotation.

Hello Key- I am sure you will love these products. If you would like a slow and inexpensive approach It would be good to begin with the deep conditioners. You can incorporate these into your regular rooutine by doing a 20 min deep cond (w/heat) after each shampoo. I rotate protien and moisturizing DC's each week. They are inexpensive at sickbay, ibeautyny and roundbrush. Look at NACDIT olive oil, BPT wheat Germ, Miss key 10 en 1 for moisture. For protein and strenght check out Emergencia, and sillicon mix. there are many more than these to choose from. You will notice the differance right away. HTH!

I also have a question about dominican products:

I went to my local BSS to check these out and they had them. However, before I purchased I read the ingredients and they all contained mineral oil and/or glycerin, which scared me, so I put them back on the shelf. I thought we were supposed to stay away from hair care products that contained these ingredients?

These are the products I'd like to try:
Silicon mix conditioner
Nacidit aceite de oliva shampoo
Nacidit aceite de oliva rinse
Nacidit avocado cream conditioner
Star Lacio Lacio leave-in
