Dominican Conditioner w/ \"Shoe Sole\" - S\'Plain!?

Sickbay just added a bunch of items including some conditioner called "Faviola Carrect." Among the ingredients they list "shoe sole." WTH!? Somebody knowledgeable please s'plain!

"Faviola Carrect: This is an unique treatment, made with the most fines ingredients, for the care of your hair, this combination with the best natural oil, olive oil, and may aromatic herbs, shoe sole, aromatic species and animal protein. Avoid the falling of hair and increase the volume of it, brigthness and luxuriance."

"Ingredients: Purified Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Olive Oil, Centrimonium Chloride, Glicerine, Animal Protein, Citric Acid, Aromatic Species, Shoe Sole, Fruit Seeds Concentration, Aromatic Herbs, Propylene Glycol, Dioxane Fragrance, Nitro 1.3, Yellow #5 and Green #6."

I was wondering the same thing about my Capilo Sole y Canela. In the brochure there is a picture of cinnamon sticks and a shoe sole.

I'm going to keep using it, though.

It contains sole extract. I'll have to do some research on that. What brochure is this that you're talking about?

Sole is a kind of fish....I think it refers to fish oil of some kind - not positive though. The shoe reference may be some strange translation problem. The English version of the description, instructions and ingredients of Dom. products rarely translate well...esp. if the distributor is a small co.

I can assure you, however, that they dont mean the actual sole of a shoe as being part of the composition of the product.

I think the "Faviola Carrect" has pictures of shoe soles on the front of the jar too - that's what I was thinking - at least for the conditioners that contain "sole extract" that it had something to do with the fish sole, but now with pics of shoe soles it becomes even more confusing.

And if you look at the Capilo Sole y Canela packaging, it has what looks like a shoe sole on it. I thought it was a fish.
