Hey ladies, i just needed a little bit of help. I am getting a Dominican Blowout this week () and i since im snowed in here i was wondering if i can use mayoniase to deep condition my hair?...

I know a few ladies have used mayoiase on their hair but i cant seem to find the threads where this is explained.

I would be using this kind of mayonaise.. but i believe mine is light mayoniase.:ohwell:

Can i use this mayonaise or do i need like a special kind?? and if i do use this kind what are the steps to go about mayonaise to deep condition???

Thanks ladies.

i do have a deep conditioners, but i could have sworn there are some ladies who use mayo in their hair.... i could be misttaken...

You aren't mistaken, people do use mayonnaise to condition their hair.
My mom uses it, matter of fact.

The mayo that you have now is fine. You don't need a special kind, although there is such thing as hair mayonnaise, which I would rather use, since it is specially formulated for hair.
But the mayo you have now will work.

There's no special process to using it. Open up the jar, slap it on your head, and let it soak in. If you want to use a heating cap or hood dryer with it, that should be fine as well. I'm pretty sure that mayonnaise does not cook, so you won't have to worry about picking it out of your hair. And I don't think anything bad will happen if you add honey to it, so if you want to do that, then go ahead.

hth.

I use mayo as a deep condition..any brand is fine..I usually mix an egg and coconut oil in it, put a cap on and allow to sit for 30 minutes.
