I am so done trying new stuff and trying to save money using the cheap drugstore products.
My hair isn't acting right and my edges are breaking.
First two things to go are:
Pantene Relaxed & Natural Moisturizing Conditioner - Though I get excellent slip, detangling is a breeze and it's cheap, I think the sodium hydroxide and x-plane cones are making my hair "limp". It's not as lively as it used to be. Also, I can't stand the soap scum it leaves in my tub!
IC Fantasia Styling Gel w/sparklites - I had not used this in quite sometime, but decided to give it a go again to smooth my edges for my puffs. I'm noticing extra breakage around the front, which I haven't seen in awhile. I think it's this gel that's doing it. I'll have to find a more expensive substitute.
Yes to Cucumbers Conditioner - I don't know, even though I can detangle with it, the process is not SMOOTH. I feel like I'm breaking off hair or using a cheap suave conditioner. When I rinse it out, my hair feels all kinds of dry. It's weird. I don't think it's doing anything beneficial to it.
(I do like the Yes to Cucumbers Leave-in though! Leaves my hair very moisturized and supple.)
Are there any products you've been using for awhile that you're thinking about dumping?
