Just curious... why are jojoba, sunflower and safflower good, but not other oils? They all have pretty different properties...

Grease I don't use though. I find that my skin/scalp likes natural oils.

Well Jojoba or REAL jojoba, sunflower, and safflower oils penetrate the epidermis and tend to be "water soluble". I actually think sunflower and safflower has the edge on jojoba. Other oils are very thick on sit on the skin and doesn't penetrate well. Castor oil, almond oil, Olive oil, coconut oil, etc... doesn't penetrate as well. If you indeed have a dry skin problem where it looks like its cracking, you can try adding sulphur to those oil and using it on your skin or scalp. I still think the best thing is witch hazel or alcohol and lotion without the grease and oil. You can also try Aloe Vera pills from GNC. You can cut it open and rub it on your face or scalp or wherever the dry skin appears. That works wonders. It "peeled" away my acne scars. I'm not sure about the Vitamin E capsules as concerning dry skin. But my mother used it for my sister scars (scratch marks) and it made them disappear within a year.

im inclined to think everyones scalp produces oil but mine does not produce a lot of oil. i have since found that my scalp id dry. it could be coming from a product that i have been using but i have never found my scalp to be oily.
