Does Your Salon Give a Discount to Students?

I have heard of a couple that will give discounts to students coming in to get their hair done. Has anyone else heard of this? Is this common or not?

Anyway, I know of a salon in Cincy that will give students a discount and they do a good job. So if interested, shoot me a PM.

I've never run into a salon that gave student discounts. I've seen senior citizen discounts but no student discounts.
This is a great idea though b/c so many college aged girls like going to the salon consistently but can't afford it.
One of my better friends who lives in Atlanta gets a student discount at her salon. It makes a huge difference over time.

I think it's pretty common here (in the UK) for some salons to give a 10% student discount. But then, I wouldn't really know, having not been to a salon for a few years.

Glad to hear that some do. Just a suggestion, if you are a student...ask at some of the salons near you or ones that you frequent. I have found that even those that don't have a set discount for students will consider it if you mention it. I didn't hear about this until AFTER I finished with school so I'm out of luck in that department, but it might help somebody else.
