Does this seem like a good leave-in recipe?

I want to use these ingredients as a leave-in.I just don't know about the coconut milk and yogurt. I heard there good natural conditioners, but I want to try them as a leave in. So far I test a few strands and it feels kind of softer.

My Moisturizer has:
Coconut Milk
Yogurt
Shea Butter
Olive oil...

i wouldn't. it would definitely have to be refrigerated, and i can imagine your hair smelling bad come the summertime.

I don't think the coconut milk would be a problem. It's not animal milk. I use Aubrey Organics White Camelia as a DC & leave-in, and its first ingredient is "coconut fatty acid cream base." It works very well. I suggest trying coconut cream too. I would suggest refrigerating it though. I don't know about yogurt as a leave in.

Thanks Ms.Coco, I wash my hair this morning and I don't know how the test strands is going to take this . I thinking about leaving it alone for awhile. Will this has a bad effect on my strands?

unless you are using some kind of preservative... the first two ingredients are perishable and after a few hours on your hair will rot and stink.

You can use them as a conditioner... but one that you will rinse off your head.

Hi Blueberry:
I love using yogurt on my hair :yep: as a pre-poo treatment with oils. What I've found is that it attracts lots of gnats in the summertime (I usually leave it in under a plastic cap while at the gym) and can leave a sour smell :ohwell: and it drips. I would not suggest using it as a leave-in.:nono:

I agree with Amber. I think these ingredients might make a good conditioner, but for rinse out definitely. These are not ingredients I would leave in my hair all day. They are perishable.
