Does S-curl make your hair frizz up?

I tried s-curl a few times and I found that it makes my sets come out frizzy, not bouncy and straight like normal. My hair was soft and moisturized, but I didn't expect it to be frizzy.

Is that why many of you use it when your hair is in a bun?

It makes my hair nice and soft. It has never made my hair frizz up. I wear my hair in a bun (on a regular basis) because that is my style of choice. I would NEVER try and use S-curl to wear my hair down / loose. I know that would never work for me.
