Hey Supergirl. It did leave waves in my hair. It is a very, very mild relaxer, more like a texturizer. From what I've heard, the PH is around 8 or so. Normally, I used mild relaxers, but when I ordered from them, they were out. I really needed a relaxer at that time so I went ahead and got the regular. At first, I was happy with it. But with the second retouch 3 months later, there was a distcinct difference in the 2 textures on my head. Hence why I'm going to a salon to get my next relaxer done. Right now my hair is underprocessed, however, it is not damaged. HTH
