Will the chlorine make your hair turn green or something if you henna and indigo or will your hair color remain unaffected?

I mean chlorine like in a pool, btw. I forgot to mention that in my first post .

I have been hennaing since Dec 2007 & for the past 6 months or so, once a week or every 2 wks. Just texlaxed also. Was in chlorine for a good while last weekend. No problems.I did have boatloads of leave in in it & sprayed my hair with my leave-in water mixture a lot while at the water park.

Sorry Ms. Khadija is in the house :) I had a client this afternoon and just got back in.

For chlorine and henna in your hair, it isn't a problem at all.

We only have issues with henna body art and chlorine as the bleach in it, causes it to fade some. SO it might be possible that it could cause fading in the hair, but no one has ever mentionned that to me and some of us henna so often, not sure if we notice that. I personally have never noticed it when I've been swimming.

Ohhhh, I am so glad that you posted this.

I am going to a party tomorrow and I had this vision of like "octopus inking" from my henndigo'd hair in my neighbor's swimming pool.
