Does anyone use Phyto Index 1?

And does it leave any curl in the hair? I'm considering trying this relaxer, but I'm curious about how much it allows for any curl retention. If it doesn't burn, I can almost certainly do it myself, but I want to reduce the possibility for "too straight" results.

Anyone know? I did a search, but I'm not getting much. If there's a thread I'm missing maybe someone could point me in the right direction....

Smooches in advance. :)

I use the Index 1 Trace. I've only used it once but I was very satisifed with the results. The curl retention factor is very high. My hair is more wavy than it is curly, but it left alot of waves in my hair. It's really much diferent than I'd experienced with any other no-lye. It didn't underprocess my hair, but it left nice waves. And I left it on for a total of 18 minutes. Me likey

Cool Army. Our hair texture is very similar (tho yours is blissfully thicker than mine) and so is Sengs' - if she in fact uses it. I may try it. As long as it doesn't over or under process, I don't mind waves at all. I prefer them to having bone straight hair, but I really want a no lye so I can relax on my own, if I want to. Thanks honey!

Sengs uses Index 1. I remember the touch up from hell she received when her former stylist used Index 2 and the stylist lost her mind. Sengs ended up with texturized and relaxed hair that she had to correct with Index 1.

Ok - I'm gonna try doing a search under Sengs name. Sounds like she's got some good info....

Thanks guys! :)

aw man, this relaxer sounds great. Too bad I use the S curl texturizer. You can't mix lye w/ no lye, right? Anybody got any suggestions? :(

I use lye currently and I'm planning to switch. But I know I can because I've done it before....

If you can will depend on your hair.

Tracy,

I have 4a hair and have used phyto 1 for my last 3 t-up. It definitely leaves some curl. Phyto 1 left on for the recommended time for me is "milder" than tones and textures mild which is what I was previously using. Sorry no pictures :(
