Does Anyone Use Oil And A Plastic Cap With Braids?

My aunt told me over the weekend that she read it is good when you have braids to put oil in your scalp and hair and put on a plastic cap and sit under the dryer. Has anyone ever tried this? To me is sounds similar to a hot oil treatment except with braids. It sounds like it can't hurt and would be good to do. What do you ladies think?

I do this all the time right before I wash my braids. I also do this a couple days before I take my braids down.

I put jojoba, and essential oils on my scalp and leave it on overnight with a plastic cap and wash in the morning.

I do it as well. I leave it on over night and my new growth feels really good.
