Does anyone use more than 15mg of biotin?

If so what dose do you take and do you think it has improved the thickness or length of your hair?
Thanks in Advance.

I'd like to know who is still using biotin. I used it awhile back and it made my nails grow fast. Maybe it was helping my hair too. I plan to start back up this week. I'll have to increase my water intake too though cause I don't want my face to break out.

I take GNC's Ultra NourishHair, two tablets every evening. Two tablets gives you 1200 mcg of Biotin, that's 400% of the daily value.

I've only been taking it for about a month and I don't measure my hair but I know it's made my eyelashes longer, as well as my eyebrows (I have to tweeze them more often) and my body hair is growing faster too.

When I finally get around to flat ironing my hair I'll find out if it's grown too.

I am using 5mg (5,000 mcg) I can see that my nails are growing also I get another 400mcg from my multi-vitamin. I am in braids now hoping to get at least 1.5 inch.

I take 1500 mcg and it's the Rexall brand (from Wal-Mart) twice daily. I can't say for sure that it's the biotin that's making my hair grow and grow thicker but something I'm taking/doing certainly is. I also take Brewer's Yeast, Borage oil, MSM, Flaxseed and B-50 and a Pre-natal vitamin. It may be overkill, but I'm getting results.

Good luck girl!

Thank you guys for your responses!

Hey Vicki,
I hear that brewers yeast is good. I may have to add that to my slew of supplements.......as long as it comes in a capsule, I'm good to go!

I still faithfully take Freeda Biotin 10mgs every day (in one small pill). There are times when I go without but for not much more than a month. Like when a bottle runs out, I may let a few weeks pass before I order another one. I love how it not only contributes to my hair and nail growth, it also helps regulate your weight. I think it has something to do with breaking up carbs before they cause weight gain. There was a thread here about it many months ago... I think DSD started it.
