Cool, how often and what are the results?

A couple of times a week until I run out of it.

It works pretty well. I also use extra virgin olive oil too to lock in the moisture.

Thanks, I'm gonna go use mine for the first time! I bought it and didnt know what to do with it....

I used to use it all the time on the length of my hair.

It really is some good stuff and moisturized my hair pretty well.

I've changed how I have been doing my hair since then and that is the only reason why I stopped.

I do sometimes when I'm wearing a ponytail, it melts down right in your hands. I mix EVO w/mine to make the texture smoother. I love the shine and moisture this gives along w/softness.

Elasta QP Mango Butter ($4.99) and I use it on my scalp, hair and ends....its a staple for me!! GREAT at lying down my 5 inches of new growth

Yep, I sure do. I take sections of my hair each night and twist them and then take the mango butter and run it down the legenth of the twist. This way I am able to get all of the ends higher up my hair shaft with it.

I love this stuff!

Ok y'all, when I went to use it last night, it went on WHITE!! and I kept rubbing and rubbing....It went in tho, but I think it was because my room was sooooo cold that it got hard, so I'm softening now and I'll report back....

I rub my hands together so that it melts down, the same thing I do w/shea butter or my coconut oil. That way when I apply it it's already in oil form. hth's

I apply it particularly on my edges and nape. Then I throw some water in the same spots, put on a scarf and I have a clean bun. If I do it the other way around, my hair doesn't dry as nicely.

I did rub it down in the palm of my hands, and it still went on whitish....

Does anyone else have this problem?

I get better results on wet hair. I use it on as a conditioning cream before styling my natural hair. I really like it. I don't like the results on dry hair though.I use Elasta's mango butter.

Yes but it won't stay like that once it's absorbed. Maybe you're using too much?

Do you brush it in? and i thought that too, so I used a pea drop size...still going on white and i feel like i have to beat it in my hair!

Oh, I don't know then, is it still white now? after the heat it should have melted down, maybe your hair is not absorbing the moisture properly and you need to clarify or some porosity control. It could just be the EVOO I added to mine that makes it go on/melt down easier.

:lachen: that was funny I don't know why.
ETA: I figured it out, this is why I added the EVOO to it, it made if more smoother and easier to apply. Add some oil to it and then see how it goes.

NO!
It tangles my hair so badly.
I only use it for smoothing the top of my hair when wearing a pony tail. I try not to use it though as it means I have to shampoo to get it out. (Rather than CW)

Yes they do! I went in there the other day and they dropped the price form $3 to $2. I was like   But unfortunatly they were sold out!

I used to use it all the time when my nat hair was longer. I used a small amount on my damp hair. It helped me to smooth back my edges to make my puff. I also heard it helps give the hair great hold for twists, tho I've never used it myself to try. :scratchch Hm, that will be my next project when my hair grows out....

I actually use more than a pea drop size:look: . If I haven't already brushed my hair into the ponytail I want, then yes I do brush it in. But sometimes I will also apply it on and leave it.

I tried to use it on my whole head once and this is exactly what happened. It didn't melt. I had to wash it out the next morning before going to work. Since then I only use it on my ends and a little dab around the hairline.

I'm transitioning, so I wonder if it shows up more on the texture of natural hair than it does on relaxed.

Also for the people who are using this on their whole head, how many containers of Elasta QP are you going through per week/month? I go through one container once a month just using it on my ends.

Has anyone had any luck purchasing Mango Butter in bulk? I bought a 1/4 lb sample and the consistency is really gritty.
