Does anyone use Hollywood Beauty Castor oil?

do you recommend it for sealing ends?

so random! i just bought a jar of this yesterday and was reading old threads about it this morning. i used it after co-washing last night to seal my ends. a little to early to tell but so far so good. if you do a search there are alot of threads w/ great reviews on it. it doesn't have mineral oil or petroleum which is a plus.

I use it! I love it. I haven't used it for sealing per se, but I imagine it would be perfect. It is verrrrrry oily though, so if you tend to be heavy-handed, then you may need to hold back when applying it. It makes my hair so soft & fluffy, and it smells great. If you're the kind of person who likes old-fashioned hair grease but loathes all the bad stuff in it (including the odor)... then this is perfect for you.

I use the hollywood castor oil to seal my ends during the week and use the Jamaican Black castor oil with pre-poo treatments. I've been using it for about a month and so far, so good. I'll keep you posted.

This product does have mineral oil. Pariffinium liquidum (sp) is another name for mineral oil however it is pretty far down in the ingredients. I use it and like it, but I don't think it is a hg or anything. But it is a great alternative to the other grease products out there and is a great price. I won't be buying it again.

thank you i didn't know that! in an old thread on the board it was listed as a product that doesn't have either so i was going by that info. thanks for the heads up.

I just bought a tub last week. Just for clarification, it doesn't have mineral oil or paraffinuim liquidium. It has paraffin oil. Not saying that's any better; after all its just another name for kerosene.

But anyway, I bought it for the sole use of thickening up my hairline. I love the smell and I love that it doesn't melt and run down onto my face. It'll be a few months before I know if it works.

Yes. It is deceivingly good. Does NOT have petrol or mineral oils. A nice light oil.

parraffin oil is also known as kerosene. kerosene is a by product of the distillation of petroleum. parraffin oil is indeed a petrochemical.

I have started using this recently paraffin oil and all, and it has really helped to seal moisture in my hair. I do only use it on my ends though. I don't use it dail, just when I notice my ends are really dry.
