Does anyone still use BT (growth aid)?

I recall early this year this was really the latest growth aid to use. I used it in January up until around May with great growth and added thickness in sparse areas.

I am condsidering ordering it again, just wondering do you ladies still use it and get the results you are looking for?

I have used recently but I don't use it everyday. I have gotten on the MN bandwagon and off and back on again.

I used up my bottle and I did get good results. I don't know if I will buy another bottle because I am on a new routine and this one seems to be working for me, so I don't know. I do want to support the lady.

But that's the thing about bandwagon products, BT was everyone's thing, now it's these Indian oils.

We all want what will give us the fastest amount of growth in the shortest amount of time I guess :perplexed

I had been using it, inconsistently though. Just really started using it more or somewhat regularly, trying to finish off the bottle.

Yeah it is the band wagon syndrome going around. Actually if people would stick to a couple of things that work and use a little patience along with that. They may get the results that they want but in God's time and not their own. :ohwell:

I still use it, every other day. I did not see much growth (length wise) but it has definitely added thickness to my hair and started growth on my nape area as this was thininng. I love the product and actually have not tried any other growth aids as this one works for me!

I am mixing my BT in my MN mixture. I am yet to see the results, I just started this a week ago and now my hair is braided.

Your right! That's why I am staying with what I am doing. I get major growth, without the use of anything really, but my problem is retention which of course is tied directly to length, which is what I am trying to achieve.

I would only buy more because it did work, and she is a sista and she's from this board.

I still use it. I love the scent that she has in the scented version - it's an easy way to help keep my scalp flake free in the winter, and it works. I know that length retention is usually the issue w most - but I've found that having more growth at once allows me to see which methods really help with retention. I can see if a method is working within a few weeks vs a month or two. Plus, it's encouraging to have a steady increase in growth - it helps keep me on track, makes it easier to trim when I need to ( I don't feel like I'm trimming all my growth and making no progress) and keeps me from getting frustrated.

I have been using BT in my twists and I also alternate with MN. Im loving the thickness. IM now 25 weeks post relaxer and I cannot control the NG.

I have not used it lately... mainly since I am not in protective style mode.

It definitely does work though.

Yeah it works, no doubt. I guess I might just re-order. I rather give my money to her than to Amazon.com or Devon Avenue in Chicago for Alma Oil or whatever this new craze is :drunk:

I'm just about through with my first bottle of BT, and getting ready to order some more (I use it on a daily basis). I could see myself keeping BT as a staple in my regimen on a continuing basis. I love the smell of the scented version, and I'm getting results...so why not?

I've seen the posts on the Indian products regimen, but I just refuse to jump on that bandwagon right now...maybe ever. I've spent more money on hair products & vitamins in the few months I've belonged to this site than I've ever spent in my entire life! Everything doesn't work for everybody, and at some point, you gotta say enough is enough! I'm moving towards a more simplified regimen now with just a few staple products & vitamins that I will use on a continuing basis. I don't even read & post on here like I used to - trying to get back to pre-LHCF life!! :perplexed

I've gotta learn to stop jumping on the latest 'hair product craze' bandwagon. As my financial analyst told me the other day, you want to build generational financial wealth, retire earlier, be able to travel, etc...or you want to be hair-obsessed and just live with your mirror so you can look at your hair every day?! When I hesitated (just for a sec, I swear!!), she used it as an opportunity to say vehemently "then stop buying all those damn hair products' (she could see the numerous transactions on my bank statement, along with the eating out, clothes shopping, entertainment expenses, etc., etc., etc. :perplexed) But hey, I'm getting all that under control in 2008! Bill paying/living expenses are priority #3, stepping up my savings/investing is priority #2, and getting consistent with paying my tithes is priority #1. It'd be great to have long, thick, healthy, shiny hair right now, but I think I need to remember the best growth aid ever - Matthew 6:33: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."

I still use it every other day...

But you're right Alpha Female. I will get rid of all these products if it kills me. I need to either sell them or give them away, or use them all up. I will NOT buy anything else...

...o.k., I'll try not to buy anything else.

BT made my hair grow nicely and especially my nape which is now the longest it has ever been! I have to pay my bills before I can get me some more.:ohwell:

I just about gave up on all growth aids. They just make me more anxious and more dissapointed. The only thing that is sticking around are my vitamins.

I still have 2 more bottles of it. I'm only using it once or twice a week now. I'm not sure at all if it's helping with my growth, but I figure I might as well use it up and see if it makes any difference. I think once I use these bottles up, that will be it for me and growth aids. Eventually I would like to stop applying products to my scalp.

Man this is so true! I have been spending so much money on "vitamins" and other stuff that your right, enough is enough!

I've simplified greatly. Simple co-washes, Biotin, keeping the GNC Ultranourishair and take my Iron Pills, which is the pill I should be taking because I have severe anemia :perplexed

I haven't tried any other growth aids but I've found BT to work wonders on my hair. It's grown tremendously since I've used it. Infact I had a spot that had no hair at all and it grew it back. From september to now It's grown three inches. Before BT that spot was there all year. My grandmother is now using it to see if it will thicken her hair out..So I will keep everyone updated on that :-)

I had my sister order me some more last week as my Xmas gift.

I still use it.

Not as often as I need to though. It works really well.

I've run out so went back to finish my 3 bottles of MTG which I mixed with MN with great results. I think I have a scented bottle I can use when I get to my mum's *I am totally tee-ed off with royal mail for sending back the bottle Gymfreak sent me *

I have had the same results, so BT is a staple of mine.
