I was thinking about this for some reason but is is FAAAAAAR too cold to do this in NYC right now. Does anyone (in warmer climates) still do conditioner washes?

Why is it too cold to do these? What happens? I just started doing them and it's freezing in Korea right now. Are you not supposed to do them in the winter??

I've been doing them for 6 months straight now. I'm in California, and the only downfall is that it really puts a damper on my pj tendancies /images/graemlins/frown.gif LOL!
Seriously, I used to read these boards and be excited to run out and try this or that. Now, I just stick to my staples.
What's weird though is that my "staples" tend to rotate. But the conditioner wash is here to stay.
I'm learning that what the book says is true, which is that conditioners usually contain cleansers in them, and one conditioner that I have actually "suds" up and makes my hair squeak when I use it. I only use that one once in a while.
But so far, so good. I can't see using shampoo again, unless I had another Letchithin mishap LOL!

I plan to start doing it again, but after it stops being so windy. I have been washing it every three days and letting it dry natural though.

Hi Camille,
Basically yes. What I do is get in the shower, rinse my hair real well, put my conditioner on. Then while my conditioner is on, I wash up. Afterwards, I rinse the conditioner out, put on my Giovanni or Aubrey's White Camilla Shine leave in spray, Aubreys or Back to Basics Gel and fluff with my fingers. That's it, nice curly hair.

Well it's not that you CAN'T do them but I wouldn't want to be walking around with wet hair when it is 20 degrees outside. You could catch a cold. You could always blow dry your hair but I figured it wouldn't be very healthy to condition it and then heat style it. That's just me though.
