Does anyone know what the preservative is in Dominican products?

I like to know all the ingredients in my products. It seems that alot of Dominican products just list "preservative" as one of the ingredients. What in the world is this preservative? I'm specifically wondering about the Silk Worm and Silicon Mix condish.:look:
