Does anyone in your family member grew hair long without trying

Everyone on my mother and father's side. That's why I thought I was cursed at one point. Turns out I just needed to learn what MY hair's needs were. It may have been effortless for me too, if I wasnt so dern careless.

I think my mom side. She has it cut years ago. Seems like she can't grow much anymore. I know my mom has long to shoulder length. My youngest sister has long thick hair. Why can't I have that genes to.

All my aunts. They have to cut -- not trim their hair. One aunt repeatedly gets it to her waist and her hubby begs her to cut it to her brastrap. I wish I had that problem.

It depends on what you consider long. My sister's hair grows brastrap, thick and shiny without doing a thing to it. My hair will grow at least 3 inches past collarbone without any special regimens, etc. Actually it's gotten brastrap without me trying. And now that I am trying looky looky, I can't get to brastrap for NOTHING!!!! lol! My grandmother before she died had no problem getting to waist but that isn't specifically shocking since she had almost straight hair that she called wire because it was so straight thick and coarse.

Oh, and I forgot about my younger brother. He has very long healthy hair.

Fathers side. Cousin and Aunt. They can dye their hair every 4 weeks, get a perm every six, use heat every day....and it still remains pass bra strap length.

I can only imagine what length it would be if they stopped all of the damaging processes.

Me, my sister, and my mom usually grow really long hair. I saw my sister for the first time in about a month yesterday and her hair is sickening now! It is definitely close to bra-strap and absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to grow my TWA out...I'm jealous

On my mom's side, absolutely no one (female) has a problem with getting to waist length or longer. I wish it were me!

my mom just check out my album you'll see. mine has always been so thick and now im obtaining length thanks to her genes.lol. my dad has "good hair" as my mom would say so maybe that attributes to something.

Same with my mom. She had waist length hair when I was growing up. She did wear a lot of protective styles, though. Just because it was easier I guess. Not that she's older she has trouble growing her hair.

Speaking of mom's...I've seen pictures of my mother as a child and teenager and she had long hair and even waist length hair as a child. However, she dang near been bald-headed the whole time I've known her. Okay, okay, well not bald-headed but now is the first time in years that I've seen her hair past her shoulders (at collarbone length now).

Same here. My mom had long hair all of her life until she got older and then cut it off. Incidentally, she began to have some health problems such as thyroid, etc. so that may have contributed to her not being able to grow it long again.

Other women on my mom's side are my aunt and my aunts daughter. Pratically everyone.

On my dad's side...no one. Their hair is short. I think that I got a mix of my mom's and dad's hair types.

A cousin on my dad's side - She will dye her hair 50 million times. Do relaxers every 4 weeks and sleeps with NOTHING on her hair at night on COTTON pillow cases. And I swear this winch will show up one time with a short cut then the next thing I know her hair is LONGER than mine. Something is wrong.
