My hair on my left side of my head is longer than on the right. It's actually pretty noticeable since my hair is between SL and APL. It won't be as my hair retains more length. Wondering if anyone else has that problem? My goal is to be BSL by the end of next year if I accomplish that I'll just have my stylist cut it to make it even but it's kinda bizarre IMO.:perplexed Nothing I do seems to change it. I thought it was because I sleep on my right side so I try and sleep on my left nothing changes. I've been taking vitamins for a while still nothing. Just strange.

Yes, in the front of my head, my right side is longer than my left by probably a good inch or 1.5 inches. I'm slowly trimming.

I have the same problem but its my right side that grows faster. My sister put some really tight braids in my hair when I was 12 and took out most of my left side and I guess the follicles never fully recovered. I try to give my left side a couple extra minutes when I do my scalp massages. You can always wear your hair in layers to hide the difference

I always manage to sleep on my left side, my fan is on that side. So my left side is much shorter than the right and nothing I do seems to help either. I can't really force myself to sleep differently but I do try.

My hair is longer on the right and shorter on the left. I have noticed that the left side gets damaged very easily, although I do the same thing to both sides. I am at Arm Pit Length right now after a small trim plus search and destroy. I'm praying for BSL this time next year. I am at my 11 month anniversay, starting from chin length to arm pit length in a year. I still don't know why my hair grows and is stronger on my right side. I always though it was because I sleep on my right and the right side gets less sun exposier while I'm driving. Just last week I started giving myself scalp massages on the left side to stimulate it. Using rosemary oil and sesame oil, don't know if it will work but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Yes ma'am! Left side longer than the right. I don't understand it. I sleep on both sides so you'd think they'd be equal. My right side is probably a good inch behind my left. I'm not planning on doing a darn thing with it either. Shoot, it took me a minute to grow what I've got so far. I need every millimeter of hair:yep:

when I was relaxed, it was totally noticeable, I'd tuck my hair behind my ear on one side to sorta "blend" it and make it look even. I forgot which side was longer, sometimes, they'd switch. :S

You can trim gradually, wear curly styles for now, or reach your goal and then cut when all areas are beyond.

Make sure you switch up what direction you wrap on a nightly basis if this is your method!

It's actually on the right side for me. My left side is longer, which is strange considering that I sleep on that side a lot. Interesting....

It's not noticeable to anyone else, though.

mines used to be when I was relaxed, I thought it was becasue I wrapped my hair one particulary way, now I dont have that problem.

My right side is longer too. I am natural. I don't know why that is. I sleep with a satin scarf or on a satin pllow, so there should be no difference.

The right side is also thicker and styles better. ???? It's not badly noticeable, but I know it's like this...and there is no reason.

I haven't tried to even it up.

Yep, same here, left side is longer. My stylist said its because I get more circulation on the left side. After he said that, I noticed that I rest my head in my left had while watching TV and I 'scritch' while I am doing it. So now I make a conscious effort to massage both sides of my head each night.

My right side is longer. I use to trim the right side to even it up with the left, now it doesnt bother me. Not that much of a difference. Now I just let it do what it do.

OP, I have the exact.same.problem. Except that my right is not only shorter, but thicker than my left side. I've come to the conclusion that that is how my hair grows. The same way my right foot is bigger than my left and my left boob is different from my right. TMI but you get the point. I started babying my ends on this side just to be sure.

Don't fret, it's becoming apparant that everyone seems to have this issue...
