I was looking at a recent Glamour magazine on page 72 (I think) and it was suggested that one wear a thin hair net over an updo, including a bun, to keep it looking polished. Has anyone tried wearing a hair net?:)

I do, on occasion. A triangle net, that is. Only problem I find with this technique is that little newgrowth hairs tend to stick out between the open crevices. But it does keep the shape pretty uniform meanwhile allowing the hair to breathe.

Thanks for your reply. So you wear a triangle hair net in public? Where do you get yours?

any BSS should have one.
Thanks Pinaprincess but I'm not asking where to find one. I'm talking about wearing hairnets over updos as a style. I've never done this but apparently it's something that may work for someone's bun, curly updo, etc.:)

Brickhouse, thanks -- I do have one from Sally's also to hold my rollers in place.:)

I do when I'm wearing my hair in a curly style. It does help to keep the curls intact.
This is what I'm talking about. Can anyone tell you are wearing a hair net Gradygirl? Do you wear black or the invisible one?:)
