Think Slim
the length of your hair?

After getting a really big chop over a year ago, I focused all of my attention of perfecting my roller sets and blow outs. This was great for the obsessive-compulsiveness in me; it was a great distraction.

It wasn't until the other night, when I did my rollerset that I realized that I went from using the super small rollers (think the diameter of your finger) in places and the largest being a red roller. Now, I'm using greys (pinks, which are the same size as the greys) and a few smaller rollers.

Now that I'm using mostly greys...I guess my next goal it to use ALL greys, no more purples.

I never really paid it that much attn UNTIL i the lady at the salon asked me if i wanted the black rollers /images/graemlins/laugh.gif after that, i knew i 'graduated' for lack of a better word from the greys... which i still use at home along with the purples.

How do you choose the roller size? I used the small pink rollers and hated the rollerset. Maybe I need a larger size? /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif

If I can wrap my hair around the roller at least twice, or without it falling off after placing the clips in...it's not too big.

I'm always happy to know I'm not alone w/my obession /images/graemlins/look.gif. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I use a mix of grays and purples too, but I'm moved predominantly into grays. I'm noticing that I only need maybe 4 purples for my perimeters and I really need to go and buy more grays. I've been "wrecklessly eyeballing" the greens (3") too. /images/graemlins/scratchchin.gif The larger question is how am I going to get my big arse head and all of those rollers under that bonnet. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yeppers. There was a time when only pink rollers could be used on my head. I graduated to black, then purple, then grey. I use black purple and grey for a layered look.

Last year at the salon:
Anky: Hey, I'd like the gray rollers on my head today (11 in. of hair).
SHS: Um you don't have enough hair for that.

I use the grey ones at home now and don't go to her anymore.

Yes. I usually wear my hair curly, so I get set on reds and purples, but before when I'd get blown straight I was still on purple. Now if I get blown straight, I'm finally on gray. Now, I'm just waiting on my "graduation" as CH said /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

They use the black or gray at the salon depending on who is rolling. When they use the black they only use a a few (like 11 compared to 16) and I just squeeze in there. I am thinking of purchasing a dryer with extra large hood so I can continue to rollerset at home. My Pibbs is too small now.

I have actually done this. I got a major cut this past january and still wanted to rollerset so I had to invest in some really small rollers. Now I no longer have a use for them and if I did use them my hair would come out a curly mess.

Heck yea....I wouldn't be the obsessive compulsive measurer (I think that's a word???) that I am if I didn't do that.........right now I am jealous of all you greys and blacks but don't worry my pretties......I will get you sooon!!!!!!!! and snoop dogg tooo!!!!!!! ;-)
