Yes, i always use something after i rinse out my condiitoner and before drying. I used Silk drops serum for a while, and that made my hair light and airy but i went back to lacio lacio because i feel my hair benefits from the extra conditioning. Not sure how it benefits, but i cant go without a leave in!

I voted i don't know if they're doing anything for my hair. Occasionally when I remember i'll spritz with Giovanni Vita Pro and continue with my moisturize then seal routine...but that's only when I remember. I've had the same bottle for over a yr:rolleyes:

My hair would be in shambles if I didn't. After I poo, co-wash, detangle, and blot with a towel I add REDKEN SMOOTH DOWN BUTTER TREAT and use it as a leave-in without rinsing. Buttery soft, supple, touchable hair, with sheen follows.

lately i have been using the conditioners as leave ins and it hasnt changed much for me. i do have Dominican sedal leave ins which work well for me. i also have silicon mix and garnier sleek and shine which i like.

i always use some type of leave in regardless. my hair isnt really picky about what it likes tho

My moisture does come from my leave-in. Then I lock it in because i want it to last. When I dont use a leave-in my hair absorbs the product and feels really dry within the next couple of hours. It it wasn't for LHCF, I wouldn't have corrected that problem that I had been having all those years while I was younger.

Yes most definitely! I wouldn't be without using one. For me I never have problems with tangles (knock on wood) leave-in for me are more for moisture and manageability before drying and for combing. I would never comb my hair after a wash w/o one.

During the week I just started using a pea sized amount in my hair and sealing with coconut oil. I find it's extremely light and doesn't weigh down my hair like moisturizers often do. My hair is REALLY light and fluffy with body that MOVES, which it doesnt seem to do when I use moisturizers. I currently use Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In or HE Break's Over leave-in.

Just wanted to say how great your hair looks :yep: Incredible progress! That doesn't even look like the same head of hair :nono:

I'm using my HE Hello Hydration as a leave in. I co-wash with V05, then apply a dollop of the HHHH, seal with castor oil, then in the morning, add coconut oil for shine. My hair is so silky and smooth it's ridiculous! I can tell that it is holding the moisture in cuz even though I co-wash at night, my hair is still damp in some places even into the afternoon the next day.

i already commented once but since then i have used salerm 21 b5(my ultimate leave in. i luv it:lick:).
i also use redken butter treat which is good
and i have used my HE HH as leave in and that has so far been the best even though ive only done it once(sorry salerm)

Re: Do you use a leave-in conditioner?

Yes, I use Skala Shea Butter (currently out), Aloe Vera, or Ceramides G3. If I am doing a roller set, I will also use Lacio Lacio.

I never understood the importance of using a leavein, then a moisturizer...esp. if they have the same ingredients or similar.

Soooo.....:) Do you use one?
Why or why not?

I could never be without my garnier sleek n shine moisture milks. My hair dries so soft! I can't acheive air-dried hair that isn't frizzy without leave in condish. I only apply it to wet hair.

Infusium 23 (Repairology) Leave In twice a month after rinsing out the deep conditioner. My stylist uses it as a detangler for my type 4a/b hair.

Rusk Sensories Smoother is my leave-in as well as aphogee sometimes...I did not realize how much more my manageable my hair would be with it.It helps with tangles and I love it. My only regret is not using it sooner-but hey,I just didn't know any better. I think my hair would NOT be the same AT ALL without it...PERIOD! Leave-in is very underestimated...DON'T SLEEP ON LEAVE-INS.....

ive been using silk elements megasilk moisturizing, he ltr, moroccanoil hydrating styling creme, skala ceramides g3 leave in, chi keratin mist.

i moisturize with a homemade juice spritz then i apply a leave in (either HE LTR leave in or HE HH reg cond as leave in) and seal with oil..... MY HAIR LOVES THIS!!!!

My hair is in better condition

I moisturize to make sure the hair strand is not coated wth anything that will prevent the ingredients from getting into the hair strand.

Then I use a leave in to detangle.

Then I use a dab of oil to seal.

I feel the three light layers work to protect my Hair. And I see a difference from the times I only use a leave in OR a moisturizer by itself.

I think leave-in's provide a great way to add moisture to the hair when it is in it's most vulnerable state. I also think leave-in's penetrate the hair better and work better to really moisture and heal whats hurting than a moisturizer would without. I know if I use a leave-in while my hair is wet it really makes the hair dry amazingly and is often so soft I only have to use a few dabs of moisturizer throughout the week. I don't think moisturizer does as good at penetrating and working in the hair while it's wet and by the time it's dry it can't absorb as much as a leave-in could provide. Thus...both at different times.

I use mixed chicks leave-in...I've tried design essentials but it ends up drying my hair out. Mixed Chicks leaves my hair soft and less frizzy.

I use leave-ins! I use Organics Leave-in liquid mayo and now, HairOne with jojoba oil! They make my hair soft but moisturized.
I tend to use leave-ins after co-washing my hair to keep the moisture in. When I tried just using a moisturized my hair :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: at me!
Now I have some othe leave-ins to use up (not so great on my hair).
My hair has retained length alot better since I used leave-ins as well. And I don't have to soak my hair in Wave Nouveau day and night anymore!

I use regular tresemme conditioner mixed with some castor oil and bit of water- Acts as a leave-in and a moisturizer.

i was about to say no because i thought that you meant regular conditioner but yes, i used to use leave-ins as a permie and will try to find another one that works with my natural hair

i did want to know though, for the women who use regular conditioner as a leave-in, how do you not get buildup or get sticky hair? i tried to use hello hydration and it just didn't work.
