Do you trim your hair while wet or dry?

I do mine dry. It doesn't make a difference for me although I heard that when you trim wet it can look deceiving and accidently cut more than expected.

BTW Mly3e your avitar is so cute. I just notice she blinks

I guess I will do mine dry because what you said about it being decieving may be true and it makes sense. Thanks yall.

To add my two cents, I would DEFINITELY say trim your ends when your hair is DRY. Gurrrl, I trimmed my ends when my hair was damp and once it dried, I realized that not only had I cut too much in some places, but my hair was uneven! Take it from me, do it dry.

I trim my hair dry. Actually, I will do small two-strand twists, and snip of the last half-inch of each twist, as I finish each one. Since my hair has lots of texture and I have no interest in wearing it straight again, I don't worry about it being uneven. If I'm wearing an Afro and one part is sticking out a little, I just pat it down.

It looks like I am the only one who does it wet! I was going to do it dry but my hair was never straight enough and the ends were so unruly I felt I wouldn't be able to do it properly. I heeded the warnings about cutting off more than expected while wet and cut off very small pieces. It turned out fine each time.

The hair is stretched when it it wet so it is much better to cut dry to ensure that it is cut at a length you want.
