I have always rinsed out then conditioned but this time, i shampooed it out. I havent noticed a difference yet. I know so many people use it in different ways and im just curious to see which is the most popular.

i dont shampoo it out, i rinse it out with water. and it leaves my hair very tangled. so i put in my dominican rinse which melts away the tangles, and i leave it for about 5 mins so it can soften my hair for a little bit.

when i use emergencee, i put that on firts, then i shampoo ith moisturizing shampoo and then i do my DC. I used to DC right after but my hair still felt kind of hard.

When I use Emergencee, I shampoo, then use Emergencee then wash out and then use a leave-in. I don't do anything else. Emergencee gets my hair super soft so I don't risk tangling it up by washing it again.

Yes - I shampoo. I have baby fine hair and I just like to make sure I am not leaving too much product in my hair. I then deep condition with a moisturizing conditioner

There used to be a time where the instructions stated to just use a moisturizing conditioner after using emergencee'. I think that they (Nexxus) were getting too many complaints about breakage and changed the directions to indicate shampooing after application. People probably were not rinsing properly, thus causing the breakage - IMO

I shampoo w/ Therappe after using Emergencée per the instructions on the bottle, then condition with a moisturizing conditioner. I remember when they first appeared and we were all confused. My guess is people who didn't rinse it off properly had problems of hard brittle hair so the manufacturers decided to play it safe. IIRC, I posted once what Nexxus folks told me when I wrote to ask whether the formula had changed hence the new directions. BRB with a link to that discussion.

I shampoo with Therapee before and after. I've been doing this for awhile, no problems yet.

I apply emergencee, sit under a dryer and let it get hard (like aphogee)and then rinse and wash and condish... My hair likes it!!

I clarify then apply the Emergencee...sit under dryer until its hard and crunchy. I then wash with a moisturizing poo then DC. Breakage is bye-bye :yep:

It probably depends on the way the posters are using it.

For the posters who don't use a shower cap, and allow it to get hard under the dryer (similar to the Aphoghee method), you'll probably find that they shampoo. I do it this way therefore I always shampoo afterwards with a moisturizing shampoo.

The folks who use it with a shower cap are probably more likely to rinse since their hair isn't stiff.

I apply the Nexxus emergencee, rinse, shampoo with NTM cream lather shampoo and DC with AOHSR. It leaves my hair soooo soft, yet strong:yep:
