I have the name of this shampoo being thrown around a couple of times on this forum. Do you like this shampoo? Do you think it works well?

Besides the fact that it is sulfate-free, what other things do you like about this relaxer?

yes it's a GREAT shampoo I used it when I was relaxed and I just went out and bought it today so I can see if it's just as good now that I'm transitioning. From what I remember it left my hair so soft after as if I'd rinsed conditioner from my hair. I detangled really well and didn't leave that slimey coated feeling that CON did. Try it it's not that expensive anyways

I have heard good things about it, its on my list to try after I'm done with my CON.

You know this has been sitting in my bathtub for awhile but I have yet to be impressed by it, I have to give it another go....
I say it's worth trying OP, elasta products are only like 2 bucks

I decided to go sulfate - free & noticed good comments about this too. I figured I'd get it since it was so cheap. I like it! When I got my hair done yesterday, the shampoo girl commented how my hair was softer than usual after rinsing. I need to chill on my expensive PJ habit so this will be my new 'poo until I finish the bottle. My hair loves product buildup but every now & then, I'll use my sulfate 'poo to clarifying as needed.

I LOVE it. Its a tie for me between this shampoo and Keracare's Hydrating detangling shampoo(new sulfate-free formula). They both leave my hair feeling moisturized and easy to detangle.

I love the old formula of Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo...

I was not impressed with the New & Improved bottle formula.

Today at the BSS I saw the old bottle of Elasta QP in a huge bottle...I was so excited and bought it. Well, I compared the ingredients to my finished bottle and it's a tad off. They exchanged one ingredient for another.:ohwell: However, I'm hoping it would still give me the same results...

Oh come on!!!:ohwell: I love this stuff. Why can't they just change the packaging and leave the stuff inside the bottle alone???!!!

What was the ingredient that they changed?

Does that now mean I have to become one of the crazy people at the BSS hoarding shampoo b/c they changed the formula

Anyway, this shampoo is a staple of mine b/c it cleans my hair and leaves it moisturized. The scent is a big plus too.:yep:

You would be fooled because the bottle is exactly the same except that it is huge. The one ingredient changed was Cocamide MEA to Laramide DEA.

I wish they would have left the Cocamide MEA b/c it's a fatty acid derived from coconut. From my understanding the Laramide gives more lather and thickens the shampoo.:ohwell: However, it still says the shampoo is acid based (pH 5.5). But I'll see once I shampoo my hair later on in the week...:spinning:

I like it because it's sulfate-free, but I'm not impressed with it. It doesn't leave my hair feeling as good as sulfate-free Keracare poo.

I miss the old CON in the green bottle. :(

Loooooovvvvvvveeeeeee it! I don't know if I have the old version or the new version. I bought the 32oz bottle off of Amazon like three months ago. This shampoo is the BEST!!!!!! I am six months post, 4a/b and this shampoo works well with both my relaxed ends and my new growth roots! No yucky coated feeling like with CON; with that crappy soft while wet, rough as crap while dry feeling.

I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!!!!!!!

I loved the original, i happened to try the new one for the first time tonite...HATED IT! I really wanted to love it cuz it seems like great ingredients were added, but it doesnt do it for me like the old formula, as a matter of fact, it seemed to leave behind this coated heavy waxy feeling after washing of my prepoo...I'll give it one more try, but it's lookin like a big fat FAIL.

I have the old formula. I even created a thread regarding this. It's really good, and my bottle cost less than $3. It's a permanent secondary staple of mine.

For all the Elasta QP Poo lovers of the original formula...

If you can't find the original formula in the 8 fl. oz, you can find it in the 33.8 fl. oz.

In the 33.8 fl. oz they exchanged one ingredient for another but it works exactly the same as the original in the 8 fl. oz. And of course IMO it's way better than the New and Improved bottle formula.

I purchased mine at my local BSS. If you can't find it at your local BSS...beautyofnewyork.com has it.

Enjoy!
