Do you have a Denman D79 (straightening brush)?

Okay, I'm in the market for a new blowdryer. Right now I have a Vidal Sassoon 1600 watt styler (the kind with attachments). I have 3 requirements for my new blowdryer:
1. It should be ionic
2. It needs to have 3 speeds/heat levels (my current only has 2)
3. It needs to have a "cold shot" or cool setting.

I would like to get one in the same style as my current one (with attachments) since that's what I'm used to, but I would be open to a nozzle style dryer if I could straighten properly. I can't get a handle on the round brush thing--trust me, I've tried and it wasn't pretty

So I was wondering about a straightening brush.

I saw the Conair one at walmart the other day but the bristles were so stiff and hard my hair threatened me saying, "If you even think about buying that I swear I'll fall out!"

I see that Denman has one that is supposed to have boar bristles--does anyone here have one? If so, are the bristles soft? Is it easier to use than a round brush? Or should I just get an ionic version of my current dryer? *sigh* Decisions, decisions...

Bumpity Bump--come on, y'all

...SOMEBODY has to have one...or at least some blowdryer suggestions

Re: Do you have a Denman D79 (straightening brush)

hey- I have the brush (just got it in the mail). I like it much better than that conair one. The bristles are much softer and the brush itself is very durable.
I had to upgrade my blow dryer to a Solano Top 3200, it gets much hotter than your basic brands but please keep in mind that my hair is very thick (natural) and can withstand this type of heat. I think the amount of heat used is about the same amount if you were to get a dominican blowout- minus the extra expenses. HTH

I knew somebody on this board had to have one

I figured that a Denman would be better quality than the Conair...Where did you order yours from?
I think I may buy a regular blow dryer (i.e. a regular nozzle, not attachments) and either get the straightening brush or just learn how to use the round brush since I already have one. That way I can hold the dryer farther away from my hair instead of putting the heat so close

I have a Vidal Sassoon ionic dryer with the attachments. It is just like yours, but the ionic version. It is great!

Re: Do you have a Denman D79 (straightening brush)

I have the Ion 1875 Turbo from Sallys and I like it. I think my hair dries quicker than it did w/ my old Conair.

Re: Do you have a Denman D79 (straightening brush)

In case anybody gives a hoot, I bought a blowdryer and the straightening brush from metrobeauty.com (thanks AFashionSlave!

) I got a blue Andis ceramic ionic dryer (it was the cheapest one, but hey, I'm on a budget

) and a blue D79. They match each other perfectly

I don't know why I get so happy about little things like that. Anyway I ordered 2 days ago and it arrived here today!

I can't wait to do my hair. I think I feel an unscheduled wash day coming on...
