Do you guys think these rollers are safe for rollersets?

are they like the velcro rollers? If so, don't use them. They are not gentle on our hair. I learned the hard way...

I remember using something like this before and they got tangled in my hair, making it frizzy. (Not the same brand, but they look exactly like this...) But one thing is for sure...it stayed in place!

I really need to find some thing will work for me. I cannot seem to gett he magnetic rollers to stay in place. :(

Have you tried magnetic rollers PLUS the clips? They could serve as the " Place holder" for your rollers.

I tried those duck bill clips but i can't prevent them from slipping.

I bought some "Kindness Clips" to use with my ionic hot curlers.
I may try to see if these may work with the magnetic rollers, but it seems like that would be too bulky.

Have you tried the magnetic rollers with the snap on covers? That's what I use for now. I am still practicing with the clips, but I use the rollers with the snap covers and I think my rollersets come out pretty good. I have pics of the rollers in my album. Hope this helps. :)

I use these too and they are cheap....

I don't think I would use those rollers. They look like they would get tangled in the hair and when you take them out it would be frizzy. The magnetic ones produce a more smoother set. Have you tried the ones w/ the plastic caps? They will stay in place w/o having to use clips.

You may not be able to fit under the dryer with those "kindness clips" although that is an interesting concept. I just dont think you would be happy with all the hair you would see in rollers that have the teeth on them once they are removed (the ones that you posted). Plus the set might not come out as smooth. I am surprised the the combo of the magnetic roller (using the cover + clips) wouldnt work. Good luck!

Regular metal clips would work better. Duckbill clips have a curve in them which is probably why they are slipping.

Ok, these look nice. I was afraid of them leaving roller marks and did not pick them up.

I will try these next. Actually, I am going to buy a few packs of these on the wya home tonight.

These are the ones I have...the purple ones are the biggest size I think then orange for medium and then pink.

These rollers are not exactly Velcro rollers. The little “bristles” actually feel a like soft silicone (they might be) and the roller is “squash-able.” Unlike Velcro rollers—which are awful and can only be used on dry hair—these are much softer and designed for use on wet hair. I own a set of them and have used them without any problems. I often use them the same as magnetic rollers (that is with end papers and pins). If I am using the pins, the multiple openings this roller design has makes placement and adjustment easier, so these made a nice alternative. I purchased them after noticing my stylist switched to this brand as they do speed drying time (with all the holes) and creates a pretty smooth set (albeit, not quite as smooth as a magnetic roller set in my opinion). A caution, I have medium length hair, I probably would not recommend these for longer styles (nothing past APL).

If you are not sure, you can purchase just a small pack of 2-5 rollers (for the medium range rollers you would probably need from about $2.69–$3.89 at Sallys if there is one in your area.

HTH:)

If these work for me, I am going to be so happy and grateful. Thanks for the suggestions guys. My hair is begging for rollersets!

Please do not use those rollers they will tear at your hair.

Use magnetic rollers with either metal clips that competely side into the roller or with the roller covers.

I am now using the roller covers because I am texlaxed and the roller covers help to straighten the hair better. However I prefer a set with the clips because I don't get the dent.

thanks for your review of them!

I bought some from Sally's today actually. It was not until i was driving back to the office that I thought I should have gotten some suggestions first. :look:

The "intro" set for short to medium hair is on sale for $9.99 down from $14.99 with Sallys card.

The purple ones are the rollers i was referring to as well. When you pair them up with clips, they stay in place. I have used these many times and my hair has been fine. Just be careful when taking them out, I am sure you know not to just fling them out of your hair.

No problem!!! :D

BTW. If you decide to keep them, just remember to take your time unrolling them from your hair. They don't quite slide out like magnetic rollers.
