Do you get more compliements when your hair yourself?

I've been going to aveda for the last 3 weeks to get treatments.... this however weekend I did myself myself. Although I got some compliments when I went to the salon.... this weekend they were rather plentiful..... first of SO eyes popped when he saw it...... he telling me some crap about he didn't know my hair could take curl and he never saw it like that.....lies

Almost all the staff at work were raving.... even in walmart I got a few compliments.

When I go to the Dom salon to get my hair straightened sometimes - they pretty much beat the life out of it. When I do my hair myself -roller set or flat iron, it has so much more life and body and bounce.

I flat ironed my hair today and got so many compliments, even a couple of "who did your hair??" comments. I think I need to save my money from now on! Seriously.
