Do you feel "connected" to your hair?

A few days I ago I went to the salon to get a trim. As I left the chair I kept staring at my hair on the ground. It was as if a part of me was left behind. :cry3:As the beautician swept my hair into the dust pan remnants of Ceilie singing Me and you must never part played in my head (from the Color Purple) .

Has anyone ever felt this way?

I feel connected to my scalp.
If I focus on a certain spot on my head, it'll tingle as if something is growing.
Serious up.

Ooooh, me too! That's one of the reasons I'm always doubtful about my scalp itching, because if I think about it itching, it will.

But yeah, I feel rather connected to my hair - it's part of me, and since I'm growing it long, I don't feel like it's 'disposable' anymore, you know?

:look:

It's great to know that I am not alone in this. I hate hate hate...can not bear the sight of my hair falling to the floor. Trim, cut, whatever. That is why I have absolutely no problem with not trimming til I reach my goal length and one of the reasons I am so afraid of wearing my hair straight because then you will be able to see the uneveness and I will need a shape up to make it look decent.

What's a girl to do...

My hair has a personality of it's own. If I didn't know better, I'd say it has its own name too! :lachen:

How I feel about my hair really affects my mood. So, yes, I feel connected to my hair.
