Do people still where braids?

I was thinking about getting some at the end of the month this month to carry me through the end of Feb. is this still fashionable?

A lot of people still wear braids (especially in the winter months).

I think the more "fashionable" styles are micros, tree-braids and cornrolls. I love braids but cant wear them because they tear out my hairline.

I'm in braids right now and I still see a lot of people with them. Like another poster said a lot of people get them during the winter months.

I'm getting them for the winter because I live in a University dorm and the hard water kills my hair. I'm getting bigger ones like den's (looking good girl!) because they are easy to take out, and don't damage my hair. Oooo... and I think they are fashionable and you can't beat having hair that's always "done!"

I do- in fact I trying to ween myself from wearing them back to back. I'm in small (but not super micro) braids right now.

I in braids till spring too. Just got them last night. I am getting them done each month. I found out that my neice does great braids so she hooked me and my daughter up last night

YES! Braids look great. My mom has been wearing them and they look wonderful. She only braids them to shoulder length and curls the ends with rollers and dips in hot water for a curly look.

Lots of people still wear braids...Down to my mom who braids her 4b type naturul in cornrows going back. Myself, I used to be the braid princess during my college days and on during my vacations. However now, I would go crazy if I were to put in a set (just can't tolerate them anymore).

I've been contemplating getting some. Never had them before, but I want a new do for 2006. I wish I could get the kind that you only briad partially.
