Hi folks :wiggle: I bought two big ole gallons of oil, recently. :look: I know I know... but I couldn't say no to $14.95 for a gallon of castor oil. I'd recently paid $4 for 4 ounces at the rite aide when I was in a hurry to pick some up. So what could I do?!

Anyhow, I bought a gallon of castor and a gallon of sweet almond oil. My question is, does anyone know if I'm going to need to add preservatives? It will take quite some time to use it all up, I'm sure. I'd hate to see any part of it go bad. :(

I think it literally takes a few years for castor oil and coconut oil to become rancid. As long as you pour the oil out of the bottle and make sure no water (or other material) is introduced into it, you should be fine. Sweet almond oil is the same as well, if I remember correctly.
