I purchased one one on EBAY about a month ago and have been using it daily. I think its too soon to see results but I am being patient. I have always heard that these things work and now I will really have the opportunity to see for myself.
Thanks for the link Nebula24. I'm wondering how much more effective this is than doing our own scalp massages twice each day... Vickid - maybe you can keep us updated on your results.

Ok am I the only one that thinks this sounds scary? Is this actual electric volts you are using on your scalp?

That's why they say your hair can't be wet while using it!
It does sound pretty "hair-raising" and risky applying electrical devices directly onto our scalps. I'd hate for anything to get short-circuited... or erased!
Yes they do work. I purchased an electric scalp massager many years back from gold medal and since then it has died, so i purchased another one by wahl and i use it every am/pm for about 2 minutes and on wash day, after greasing my scalp i use my scalp massager for about 10 minutes. I started using it faithfully about 3-4 weeks ago and it really does help because it brings the blood to your scalp. I also regularly do a 4-5 minute headstand every morning before i get in the shower. Barry Fletcher actually suggested using some sort of scalp massager every am/pm which is why i decided to do so and not just on wash day. My hair is natural and sometimes its hard to see new growth, but i can definitely see something. I have always liked the benefits of using my scalp massager. I would always use my scalp massager for about 1 minute on a section of my hair and afterwards when i combed, it would glide through my hair because the massager brought the blood to my scalp and it made it easier to comb my new growth. To each it's own, but the electric scalp massager is definitely a keeper for me.
