Do any of you natural ladies straighten your hair and add weave to it?

ok, i'm looking for some tips from natural ladies with type 4a/b hair who straighten their hair and add tracks to it for length, because i imagine it to be my next style. Prom is coming up and i'm trying to experiment with looks that could possibly work & if so, i was just wondering..

what kind of hair do you use for the tracks?

thanks!

This is funny, I was just wondering about this. Could a natural get flat-ironed and add tracks? I don't know why I was wondering this though, just always thinking about hair I guess...I would definitely think it could be done though, especially for a special occasion. Long-term I don't think it would work well, expecially if you have poofy hair like me. I think you'd use the same kind of hair relaxed ladies use. Would you do it yourself or go to a salon?

i'd go to a salon, i just bought a sedu so i'm hoping that will help me out when i need a touch up

Yes you can get a weave if you flat iron your hair, I did this but I wore my hairstyle straightback when My hair started to revert I would use a pretty scarf as a headband.

cool thanks, I'm gettin it done tomorrow.
i'll take pics hopefully it comes out nice

Good luck! I hope it turns out just the way you want it to.
