When diluting your relaxer, how much oil and/or conditioner do you add? Do you use actual measuring cups/spoons or regular drinking cups and silverware ()? Any horror stories?

I've done this and I usually add no more than 2 tablespoons of olive oil. My results were excellent and no chemical burns:up:

ETA: Use plastic spoons. Metal will cause a chemical reaction that you DONT want:nono:

I've tried two table spoons and still felt a bit of a tingle. :look: I'm not going to say how much I added tonight, but I am going to keep a close eye on my hair these next 8-12 weeks. :lachen:

I actually mix my relaxer with the wooden stick that's included with the kit- not with household utensils, but the bold is good to know.

I use equal amounts of cholesterol conditioner and relaxer, and mix with a wooden stick. It slows the processing time down immensely, giving me more control.

Me too and I also just pour in some olive oil....I just started back self-relaxing and I don't need ANY problems....
