I thought we could share some updo ideas besides the usual buns with pics, if possible.

For example, the actress who portrays Lily Montgomery in All My Children has been wearing a pretty hairstyle this week that I may want to try. It's not so easy to tell from this pics but she is wearing 3 or 4 buns in the back which look like fat pincurls (almost like bantu knots). It's very pretty and elegant amd a good protective style too. Her hair is about waist length and looks like it's 2b, naturally wavy.

Any different updos you would like to share?

My sis, ChosenbyGod, does wonderful updos

She's a member here and on fotki. I don't want to post her link because I think it may be against the rules, but you'll find everything in her profile.

Here are my favorites:

I want to practice this one when my hair gets longer:

I like most of the styles on www.updos.org too.

I also have some pics of updos in my curly sets and protective styles albums.

These are all very pretty and look easy to do, especially the FrenchTwist ponytail. I 've done that one by accident when it came loose. I'm bookmarking that updo.org link. Thank you Victorious!

I've been loving simple, yet elegant updos lately :D Been experimenting with all sorts of styles, although most of mine still are still too messy to wear out in public :p.

Wow! Lots of good styles here! It's not an updo but I like the Japanese ponytail. It's so pretty and simple and I know I've worn it without trying, as my scrunchie was slipping off!

I have an updo in my album. I agree Chosenbygod has some wonderful updo pictures.
I checked out your updo Divinefavor - it's so pretty and can be worn casual or dressy. Thanks for sharing your instructions too!:)

Found some cool sites with loads of pictures of updos

Beauty & the Bath - black hair styles & updos

Updos & Prom Hairstyles - picture gallery and "how to" ideas for your hair styles

Chiff - more black hairstyle ideas

Keep posting those favourite sites!

Thank you JenC and welcome!! :)

These are beautiful updos and I love these sites too!!

BTW, you'll want to edit the first two links--the first link has an extra "http://" in it and the second has the LHCF link attached. ETA: This might be an LHCF error--I attempted to fix it on this post a few times...
*returns to JenC's updo sites for more great ideas* :fan:
