Difference between Co-Wash and Co-Rinse

When I co-Wash I really get in there and scrub my scalp with my fingertips. When I co-Rinse I just put the conditioner on my hair and rinse it out. I co-rinse more often than I co-wash, but I really don't make a distinction as far as the terms go.
