Cuz it's now selling for $2.99 a bottle in a BB.

I used it for a while last year, but stopped. I remember having to mix it with another oil. But who actually had growth? It helped me transition. But after the BC I left it alone.

Good question JG! Actually I stopped using it a few months ago. It worked fine for me the first month, then my scalp started peeling. I recently started back this time using the so called "new improved" formula. I'm also putting WGO on my scalp first before spraying which seems to be working well. Before, I didn't do that. I just mixed in some olive oil in with the Surge. We'll see how this new method works after a month.

Oh, and the ONLY reason I decided to try it again is because of this crown area I'm trying to grow out. When I texturized that part still looked more natural. Didn't get straight at all, but the Surge smooths the new growth out a lot. It actually changes the texture of my hair. I kid you not, that part is actually almost as straight as the rest of my hair. You really can't tell the difference. I haven't been using it all over my hair either, just the troubled spots. Another thing is I figure if the Surge works longer for me this time, it will be good to switch back and forth with MTG. I'll use the Surge for a couple of months, then the MTG for a couple of months because my hair seems to become immune to stuff after a few months and the products stop working.

THAT STUFF WORKED ON MY HAIR, where is it 2.99???
the only reason why I stopped using it was because it was too expensive.

New formula? Maybe I bought some old stuff?
I mix mine with Rose water & glycerine.

By the time I buy it and ship it to you all the price will increase to $6.50

Haven't started using it again...Waiting on you alls input! ;)

I still use it, I have always used it alongside MTG...and have never used one without the other. They work well for me, so I won't stop!

I stopped using it a couple of months ago because it was giving me huge flakes. My hair definitely grew faster when I was using it though.

Really? I'm PMing you right now! :)

Yeah JG, it has the red tag on it. The Surge rep recommended that I try it, and a bottle was given to me at the last hair meeting I attended.

Actually I still use it from time to time, but not as often as last year though.

I still use it and I prefer the old Surge and the lowest price I have seen is $3.99 a bottle in a discount store.

OK Lucy S-plain!
What's da difference between old and new ingridient wise?

I don't know JG because by the time I got the new bottle, my old bottle was long gone, and buried in a landfield somewhere. But it seems like it has a creamier consistancy to it. More moisturizing maybe.

I've got some surge that I'm about to start using. It's just sitting under my sink, so I figured I'd at least try to use it consistently for a little while and see how it does.

I'm not surprised they've made a new formula, considering how many people had problems with it. I bet you anything they've pushed our little friend "cetrimonium chloride" down the ingredient list, and added some more moisturizing ingredients. Oh well, I've still got the old stuff. Hope I don't have a reaction to it. :ohwell:

I'm still using it. I'm also a pusha! Bought 3 bottles today (one for me, one each for two friends). My mom and sister use it also.

I am still buying the old formula, because the new one hasn't been on the shelf thus far. I had slowed to a couple of times a week, but my hair hasn't been thriving. So, recently, I started using it once or twice a day again. Alone followed by some castor oil or sometimes mixed with Lotion Motion #9 & S-Curl. My hair loves it and I've had zero problems with the old formula.

I still use the Surge Plus 14 spray but I mix it in my leave-in conditioners to cut down on the dryness and flaking. I also use the Surge Woojee cream when I have box braids to eliviate dryness and it keeps my new growth soft and moisturized.

Surge works but I stopped using it because it burned my neck & caused dandruff. Maybe I can use MTG & Surge at the same time. The oil from MTG may help.

I'm currently using it, I have been using it about 1.4 times a day ( :) at least once a day, sometimes twice) and I have really good growth, but nothing special. I'm going to use this bottle up, then see how well my hair grows without it.

i stopped after five days since that stuff caused my hair to revert, and i felt that my hair broke off more when using it. but, appearently it has worked for many others. different strokes, different folks i guess...

I think surge really helped grow back my hair line and increased the amount of growth I had between touch ups. I stopped using it but will pick it back up again now while transitioning.

It did make my hair dry but I would put WGO on afterward. I used it twice a day (just got my MTG also so I will have to work that in somehow).

I just recently started using Surge again and I am seeing flakes on my scalp. My hair has been itching like crazy. I am going to stop. I guess the frequent scalp stimulation (scratching) is a good thing. Forces me to stir-up my blood flow as I haven't been faithful to the massages. Is this why your hair growth increases?

Just bought my second bottle a week ago. I've given up on it for growth, but still use it in times of excess shedding. I have yet to find the new formula...

Hello KathyMay,
Does the MTG really deliver desired results? If so, may I ask you how it has been good for you?
Thanks
HP

I'm still using it since it first came out. I never gotten to the new one because they still have the old ones on the shelves. It help my hair grow a lot. I use it twice a day and after washing and conditioning.
