Congrats to her. The first person said she had been in business 15 years, it's evident that stylist don't know everything, look at what they have done to 1/2 the women on this boards hair.
 
Congrats!! I just rollerset my hair to her DVD yesterday...I want to reply to that stylists comment so bad, I just had to X out...:lachen:
 
That's really awesome. It's nice to see LHCF alum getting recognition and spreading knowledge to the public. Congrats Macherie!
 
Macharie is a blessing that is taking hair to a whole different level. These people who said these things can't stop it.

How many of us know women here who have come in with horror stories because of the "professionals" and to only get the "right" advice and their hair did a complete 180????

Yep Marcherie and several other LHCF members are really saving my sisters and myself. I hope many more women can learn these lessons soon so that one day people will think of black woman as having the ability to have naturally long black hair.

It has been 9 weeks since I post relaxed my hair and I love it.:grin:

I gone long stretches without relaxers.

I love this Article on Macherie's site.

What she is saying is true about Relaxers and hair care. I am adjusting to mines very well and will be posting my pictures soon Lord Willing.


For about 5 years I used to relax every 4-6 weeks :wallbash:
Then went to 8 weeks:perplexed
Now I am at 9 weeks I had no relaxer since 12-18-07:yep:. I am following the regimens of the ladies here on this site and let me tell you

So far my hair is very soft, thick and fuller and manageable. I do not have ecessive shedding like I did with my past relaxers.

My next relaxer will be 3-25-08 So instead of 8 weeks I am going to the whole 14 weeks
4x per year the goal will be twice a year once I hit BSL:lick:

I saved this article to my favorites what she is saying is so true. Now I can also do blow outs and do not have to worry about constant shedding.:wallbash: you know the kind some people get soon after a relaxer.

Aww thanks guys:) I contribute to aol black hair voices once a week or so- just articles and videos.

But, honestly, I wouldn't even have had that opportunity if it weren't from LHCF. You all taught me how to get my research on, experiment, document and be persistent! In addition, this board taught me the importance of "each one, teach one" and how to be a blessing and of service to others.

As for the comments, I dont pay them any mind. I didnt read the comment but that stylist could have emailed me and if I made a mistake, I would have amended my post and credited her for the corrections. Or, if she felt I didn't deserve to be on Aol, she could start her own blog and contact AOL. But, leaving a nasty comment in a post just seems unprofessional to me:nono:
 
Congrats Macherie...I read the comments by the stylist, and it's typical. Like we don't know the hair on our own heads. I wish we had her name so we could put her on blast. That's the kind of attitude that will have folks bald.
 
I'm not relaxed but I checked out the page, that's great for her!!! I hope more people outside of the forums will get to be exposed to her technique.

On another note....AOL is trippin!:lachen:
