I need help...I have a lot of thick 4a/b natural hair for just 2 months of being natural...My issue is...I had surgery a couple years back on my arms, and I can't hold them up for that long to detangle before they start hurting, and I gotta put them down...so how do I go about it?

How much hair do you have now (in inches)?

Wash in sections. Detangle in sections. Don't try to do it all at one sitting.

I'd consider putting my hair into twists or box braids that way you can cowash/poo in the style and take your time detangling one twist/braid at a time without all your hair being loose.

The style will last and you can take your time redoing the twists/braids and not worry about looking crazy if you can't do them all at once.
