Nice said:Has anyone used this relaxer? What kind of results did you get? I am currently shopping for a new relaxer.
Thanks in advance.

Crystalicequeen123 said:My stylist uses Design Essentials mild relaxer with shea butter. It's been fine for me. I don't know if it's NO lye though. I think the relaxer is a lye relaxer though, because isn't that what they usually use in most salons??
Anyway, after switching from a regular strength relaxer to a mild relaxer (Design Essentials with shea butter) my hair has thrived! My hair feels thicker, it's soft, and not BONE straight anymore. I have fine hair, so I think the milder relaxer is probably better for my hair.
Crystalicequeen123 said:Hmmm...interesting. I've never heard of Lo-Lye relaxers. How does that differ from no-lye relaxers exactly?? I mean, I know that supposedly the concentration of Lye that is in the relaxers is probably lower than usual, but I mean what do they use instead of the "regular" lye in the relaxer? Is this safe?? I was always told that if done PROPERLY, Lye relaxers were actually better for your hair in the long run than No-lye relaxers.
Please, give me some more info on this!![]()
