I'm an admitted PJ! SOoo I ordered some Design Essentials based on something someone posted. In my package I got Silk Essentials, it has a strong alcohol smell.. SD Alcohol 408...is that okay????
I didn't know that the silk essentials had SD Alcohol 40...I was going to get some today. That is the bad alcohol that flakes up in your hair. What are you going to use it for? You should try their reflections shine spray. It gives your hair a great salon sheen, and it is a GREAT thermal protectant for pressing, hot curling, blow drying, whatever. Just for all purposes, it's great! One of my staples.
That's one of the bad ones, but this is a great product. I have some. I was also watching a news report on hair care and it said that those kinds of alcohols evaporate once out of the container and never touch your hair.
I actually wastn't really sure what to use it for. I read from this site that many used it AFTER a wet set so I probably would have tried after that. I thought about setting with it, but the alcohol sent was so strong I was a little concerned.
