Legend said:Really it depends, I think. I don't know about anyone else, but I deep condition twice a week for two weeks after a chemical service with protein followed by a deep moisturizing conditioner, then just once a week after that. But, because I live in the Northeast, during the colder months, I deep condition every time I was it which can be about twice a week because the cold can severely dry out my hair. So, go with how your hair feels. I really don't believe in over-conditioning the hair unless you are using the wrong conditioner. But, if you like the way your hair feels and looks, continue your regimen.![]()
ONAMSHN said:Let me get this straight....alternate between a moisturizing conditioner and protein conditioner if you going to deep condition twice a week. Is this correct?
What protien leave-in are you using? I use Sebastian Potion #9 and man is that bad boy potent! I only put that in my hair about once every 2 weeks or so.Candy_C said:I would deep con twice a week ( with moisture ) , then use a moisture leave-in on day 1 then a protein leave in on day 5.

Personally, I get great results just wearing a plastic cap, without an outside source of heat. My scalp seems to heat the conditioner very well. I love the results.ONAMSHN said:We are definitely on the same page now! Is is better to use heat when deep conditioning your hair? I have always wondered if this actually made a difference in the outcome of your hair.
