Yep, like the true PJ that I am I went out on Friday and bought a new deep conditioner . I got it from this store at the mall called origins. It had a lot of good ingredients in it, including a variety of natural oils, lipids, proteins, etc. Anyway, I'm going to try it out and let you ladies know if it's any good or not. Oh yeah, and I love the pear smell that it has :yep:.

Okay, so I finally tried the DC, and overall I like it a lot. It feels different than a lot of DC's I've tried. I normally use a lot of conditioner when I DC my hair ('cause I'm heavy handed) but I made sure to use very little of this conditioner because it's kinda pricey (around 17-something with tax), but you really don't need to use a lot of this conditioner. It's very rich and moisturizing. One thing that I like about it is that it's not super thick. I hate those DC's that feel like paste in your hands. It makes it very hard to put just a little in your hair because it doesn't spread very well. This conditioner has a thick, pudding like consistency. My hands still feel super moisturized from touching it :yep:. Anyway, when I rinsed the conditioner out my hair felt nice and soft. When I towel dried it my hair looked really shiny and healthy, and it felt a lot smoother and not as fragile. When i combed my hair there was no breakage, just normal shedding. I feel that the true judge of a good conditioner is how your hair feels after it's completely dry, so I'm going to wait until my hair's completely dry to give my final verdict. Oh, and here are the ingredients in case anyone was curious:

Water, Chamomile flower water, cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, cetearyl alcohol, bergamot oil, shiu oil, chamomile oil, french peppermint oil, galbanum resin oil, apple oil, william's pear extract, ambrette flower extract, benzoin, linalool, limonene, hydrolyzed wheat protein, yeast extract, cholesterol, caffeine, phospholipids, hydrolyzed wheat starch, aloe vera leaf juice, pantethine, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, vitamine e, hydrolyzed wheat protein pg-propyl silanetriol, bisabolol, cetyl ethylhexanoate, phytantriol, butyl methoxydibenzolmethane, caprylic/capric triglyceride, vitamin a, benhentrimonium chloride, hydroxyethylcellulose, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, stearalkonium chloride, biosaccharide gum-1, disodium edta, bht, phenoxyethanol, methylisothiazolinone, methylchloroisothiazolinone.

My final verdict is in: I love this deep conditioner! I've always had problems with my ends, namely that they always feel dry no matter how well I condition it. When my hair dried and I felt my ends it felt just as soft and moisturized as the rest of my hair. Overall I can see a positive difference in my hair after using it, and I only used it one time. I think this is going to be my DC from now on. The only downside I can think of to this product is that it only contains 8.2 fluid ounces and it costs $16.50 per jar. I'm just going to have to use cheapie rinse out conditioners to compensate for this extra expense.

P.S. If you have any additional questions about this conditioner, feel free to ask. Also if anyone else has tried it, please give a second opinion. Thanks

Did it detangle?

I did notice that it doesn't have as much slip as I'm used to most of my conditioners having, but that could be from how little product I used. When I combed my hair in the shower when I was rinsing it out, my comb slid through pretty easily (it was a regular toothed comb, not wide-toothed and I have a good amount of NG that was a little matted before I began). The best results came after my hair dried. It felt really soft and moisturized. My main concern was finding a deep conditioner that moisturized my hair as well as give it strength and elasticity, and I feel that this product provided that. I can't wait to see how my hair responds to it over a period of time.
