Deep condition with braids?...

I DC while in two strand twists - just work it in, let it sit, and rinse very well.

It DOES create fuzzies, and I don't know a way around that.

I DC while in braids too, I just put my DC mixture in a applicator bottle, let it sit in some boiling water for a few minutes, shake it up and apply to my scalp. Rub some in hands and apply the length of the braids and message in, put on a plastic cap for a hour and then rinse.

I used to do this all the time... I grew addicted to it. and my braids would be so soft by the end of it. For me, the water from rinsing in the shower actually helped me to keep the frizzies away, made it look a little neater. So when I wanted it to be softer and neater, i would just reach for that conditioner.

I did Wednesday night, I used the applicator brush to brush the conditioner on my roots, made four plaits, placed a plastic cap and rinsed the next morning, used my diluted shampoo on my scalp and used diluted conditioner thereafter. They are frizzy but my hair seems soft. This is a way to keep my hair moisturized and use up all the PJ products that my hair didnt like.....

I have been in kinky twists for 2 months and I deep condition once a week. I don't put the deep conditioner on my scalp between the twists, just the length of my hair in the twist. I conditon wash every other day with a nylon stocking on my head. My frizzies are not bad at all.

I've been in braids for the past 10 months and haven't deep conditioned once. What I do is saturate each individual braid w/Profectiv Healthy Ends then braid, then once per week I spray Scurl on the braids and call it a day. The only thing I do everyday is to use Profectiv on my edges and nape and that's it. I'm hoping after doing this for a year, I don't regret anything.

Thanks for all the great tips. Because of the type of braids I have, I think I'll apply the conditioner a few braids at a time and try to really get it in my hair, through the synthetic hair. I will use some of my cheaper conditioner to do this...:perplexed Hopefully it won't frizz my hair up too much!

So are you ladies natural who deep condition and wash your braid extensions?
I want to so I can keep my braids in longer, but I'm afraid they might become very frizzy, and be more tangled when I take them out. I've had them in for 4 weeks, and I don't mind going another 2 or 4 if I can wash and deep condition. (I do scrub my scalp with water and a little shampoo, but just my scalp)

Thanks
