I was wondering if doing this would be beneficial to my hair or would it cause more damage? I am using Le Kair's Strengthing and conditioning cholesterol PLus. Any suggestions? It has already been one hour.

I deep condition overnight every week and my hair has never looked better. I don't know anything about Le Kair, but too much protein can be bad so be careful if it has lots of that in it.

I don't think it will harm your hair. I have slept in conditioner before and rinsed in the morning. No problems.

Just looking at this ingredient list does it have a lot of protein?
Product: Le Kair Cholesterol Hair Strengthener & Conditioner

Ingredients:
Deionized Water, Stearalkonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Mineral Oil, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Methyl Paraben, Cholesterol, Propyl Paraben, D & C Yellow # 5, D & C Red #4,
Hydrolyzed Collagen, Aloe, Vitamin A & D, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Acetate.

You can leave it in as long as you want if you don't have protein in it. For example if you deep con with butters/oils/cream/it is ok... but with protein you have to be very careful

Oh ok........well what other products do you guys suggest that I keep in my hair and deep condition>?

The only other product I have is Pantene Pro-V Intensive Moisturizing Conditioner (Relaxed and Natural).
Any suggestions?

As long as it's moisturizing it should be okay, again w/o protein. What are the ingredients? Oils would work too.

Pantene Pro-v Intensive Moisturizing Conditioner

Ingredients: Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasilicoxane, CetYL aLCOHOL, Stearamidopropyl, Dymethylamine, Jojoba, Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Glutamic Acid, Dimethicone, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance, etc.

No protein, but lots of alcohol and has cones. As long as your hair has been responding to it well... but I wondering the real advantage. I don't do anything overnight b/c nothing is going to soak in much more than it does in an hour, even w/a plastic cap on all night. If I wanted to sleep in something it would be a heavy oil treatment (shea, castor, coconut and/or EVOO) or some totally natural conditioner like Nature's Gate Original.

I do a Vatika and Amla oil for an overnight treatment. I massage the two oils in, concentrating on my new growth. I let it sit overnight and then wash it out the next day.
