Dealing with other weather problems

I think there's plenty of threads on dealing with rain and humidity. What about the other elements? Wind tends to destroy styles and really dry out your hair. The sun and heat also cause problems. And the cold really makes my hair shed. How do you deal with these weather problems?

I think it just depends on the style you choose. A bun with your ends tucked away may be the best bet in windy conditions. If it's super sunny you can use a moisturizer with UV sheild (like Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch).
