Im looking for a good daily moisturizer that will soften my newgrowth since I'm strecthing out my relaxer but I want something that will also keep the rest of my hair and my ends moist too . I was thinking about cocnut oil, possibly The Body Shop's Coconut Oil Hair Shine. What other things would you suggest(btw, they dont all have to be coconut oil suggestions)?

Purifeid water, olive oil, 1-octadecanol, Cetrimonium, Bronmide, dl-Panthenol, Allantoin, Lecithin, Dimethicone, Copoiyol, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl, Urea, Propylparaben, Retinol & Tocopherol

Smooth N Shine Curl activator gel will leave the hair moisturized, give you great curl definition, and leave the hair moisturized without alot of greasiness.

Organic Root Stimulator's Olive Oil Moisturizing Lotion is wonderful. I just started using this, and it keeps both my natural and relaxed hair soft. It smells great too.

For me, this is what has worked wonders so far.

1- John Frieda's-relax daily replenisher

(less than a dime amount)

2-NTM (Neutrogena Triple Moisture)-serum (same amount as above)

3-Hollywood carrot oil-

(same as #2)

4-mix all three in hands, and apply to hair from roots to tip.

5- mist hair with surge, and comb hair (albeit very gently)

I sometimes reverse step 1 and 4, and I still get the same results. soft, smooth and moisturized hair

So far this is my daily staple, and on wash day's I'll leave a little NTM-cond, or Pantene's smooth and sleek cond in my hair along with my mixture above.

I'm pretty satisified with the consistent results I've obtained with this regime.

HTH'S someone.

Here are some moisturizers that have worked for my hair:

Profectiv RootHealth

S-Curl No Drip Act and Moist

Pantene R&N Daily Oil Cream Moisturizer

Motions Hair Lotion Oil Moisturizer

mixture of oils (Jojoba, coconut, olive, carrot, aloe vera)

I recently started using Cantu Shea Soft Strengthening treatment. The results have been so great it will be replacing Elasta QP Mango Butter in my regimen. The cantu is lighter and creamier and really does moisterize rather than coat the hair. It also has no petroleum or mineral oil. I got it at Walmart for a little less than the mango butter.

Wild Growth Oil or S-Curl

Elasta QP Mango Butter or
Organics Shea Butter and Tea-Tree Oil Moisturizing Lotion
Coconut Oil or Surge Motion Lotion #9

all hair butters work great for me- currently using unrefined mango butter- controls breakage, moisturizes, softens and smells good too. i also have avocado butter, more mango, sal, tallow and cocoa butter on order. i'm natural.
