So ya, it's 10.20 PM, I dried my hair 'free' under my soft bonnet and wanted to put in a little curl/straighten it a bit using my recently bought Carusos. Why the h*** is the plug some 'worldwide dual voltage' mess, the one with the round plugs? I don't have a single outlet in my apt that can fit that mess...Bah :perplexed

Anyways, for the ladies with Carusos, do you have regular American plugs or the worldwide dual voltage (round) ones?

Hah, this is going right back to the store. Also, when I opened up the package, the rollers and the unit had a fine layer of dust on it. It's probably a good thing that I couldn't get it to work tonight or perhaps I would've gotten some type of electric shock from the unit being so dang old.

How much do Carusos go for in hair supply stores?

Anyways, I guess it'll be a bun tom, lol.

I got my caruso set from Sally's Beauty Supply for $29.99 and they came with 30 rollers. I too have the regular plug outlet thingy. I just used my caruso's today and in 30 minutes I had a cute little spiral set. I hope you get to a Sally's soon! I'm about to post my pics...

You can get a travel adapter for a few dollars at walmart, its usually in the luggage section. Mine has the regular american plug, but i bought it on amazon.

Yeah Sally's has it for $29.99 30 rollers, plus I got a box of the jumbos for free with a coupon... Plus I had 14 from the last unit I had (that stopped working), AND I purchased rollers from Ebay... I think I have nearly a hundred caruso rollers, lol :look:

See...mine has only 14 rollers. I think mine is the travel set; thus, explaining the plug issue, lol. Boo, there are no Sally's around here...at allll. The closest one is in NJ and/or deep in the depths of Brooklyn.

I was thinking about that, but I think I'll just return it, get a store credit, and perhaps use it towards a new dress or sweater. :yep:

Yep...bought mine from TJ Maxx and the same thing happened to me! :wallbash: I promptly took it back and complained to the staff that they should have a sign on the box or something to let people know it's a European plug!

The original one I had was the travel set with the 14 rollers. The difference btw the travel set and the regular one is just the unit:

Both of the ones I purchased looked like the single unit travel size, but one box had more rollers than the other. You'd be best to get it from a BSS it sounds like, or even Amazon or Ebay (I purchased mine originally from Amazon).
