Cutting off relaxed ends to go completely natural...

...should this be done on wet or dry hair? To me, it would seem wet because otherwise I'm not able to tell what's relaxed and what isn't on dry hair, but I don't like to trim wet hair. Tips?

much easier to do it on wet hair with conditioner
helps to distinguish between the two textures
